Passing Draft Acts

Draft legislation (act) is passed by way of voting. It is an open vote, except in the case of electing the President of the Republic, the President or the Vice President of the Riigikogu and officials nominated by the Riigikogu.

In the case of electing the President of the Republic and the President or the Vice President of the Riigikogu, the vote is cast by filling in a ballot; in other cases the vote is conducted electronically.
