Tallinn City Court today announced its ruling in favour of the actions of the Ministry of Justice in reclaiming the site and buildings of Lennusadam Port from OÜ Agrin Partion, AS Verest, OÜ B&E and ELA Tolli AS.
The disputed land belonged to the state before Soviet occupation. After occupation Soviet officers sold the plot, which had been used for a military base, to companies which, according to the possessors of the plot, sold the plot to companies related to Aleksandr Rotko. In the judicial procedure it was proved that the plots were acquired in bad faith – in other words, the acquirers must have been aware of the unlawfulness of the transaction.
