/

Liberal professions are professions with high qualification, where the professional basic operations shall be performed personally (they cannot be delegated to paid assistants), independently and on one’s own responsibility. The requirement of preparatory service and of passing the professional examination and the principal of economic self-management (the state does not pay remuneration) are common to liberal professions. Some liberal professions exercise state authority in the scope delegated to them.

A notary is a holder of office in public law who is empowered by the state to attest, at the request of persons, facts and events, which have legal meaning, and perform other notarial acts in order to ensure legal certainty.

A bailiff is a holder of office in public law who is empowered by the state to carry out compulsory execution of judicial decisions and other monetary claims.

A sworn translator is the holder of an office in public law who is equally with a notary empowered by the state to certify, to the extent specified in his or her professional certificate, the correctness of translations of documents translated by the translator himself or herself or by another person, the authenticity of copies of such translations and the authenticity of copies of documents to be translated. A sworn translator may render also other translation services.

A sworn advocate or senior clerk of a sworn advocate or any other natural person with active legal capacity who holds a trustee’s certificate issued by the trustee examination and evaluation board formed by the Government of the Republic may act as a trustee in bankruptcy.
